Trip Schedule

Arrive at the designated town center shop (Queenstown Shotover St or Wānaka Airport / i-SITE) 15-30 minutes before your check-in time.

Complete check-in, safety briefing, and weight/health evaluation with staff.

Transfer via complimentary shuttle to the Drop Zone and get fitted with jump suits, harnesses, and protective gear.

Board the specialized turbine aircraft for a 10–15 minute scenic climb to your booked altitude (9,000ft / 12,000ft / 15,000ft).

Leap from the aircraft with your Tandem Master, experiencing freefall at 200km/h (25 to 60 seconds).

06

Enjoy a peaceful 3–5 minute canopy glide under the parachute before landing at the drop zone.

07

View and optionally purchase professional photos/videos, then take the shuttle back to town center.

Queenstown: NZONE Skydive Centre, 35 Shotover Street, Queenstown Wānaka: Skydive Wānaka, Wānaka Airport, 14 Mustang Lane, Wānaka (or Wānaka i-SITE at 103 Ardmore Street for shuttle)

Please note that your booked time is your Check-in Time, NOT your jump time. Please arrive at the designated meeting point 15-30 minutes prior. Transfers to the drop zone are included. Allow at least 3.5 hours for the full experience.

Included

  • Tandem Skydive jump at your selected altitude (9,000ft / 12,000ft / 15,000ft) with a certified Tandem Master.
  • All required jump equipment: jump suit, protective goggles, headwear, gloves, and harness.
  • Scenic flight aboard the turbine aircraft to jump altitude.
  • Complimentary return shuttle transfers between town center meeting points and the Drop Zone.
  • Access to drop zone lockers and visitor facilities.

Excluded

  • Photo and Video Packages (Handicam / Dedicated Freefall Cameraman / Ultimate Combo available for purchase on-site).
  • Personal cameras, GoPros, smartphones, or smart glasses (strictly prohibited on the aircraft due to NZPIA safety regulations).
  • Meals, drinks, and personal travel insurance.

Cancellation

Free cancellation or change up to 4 days (96 hours) prior to your scheduled check-in time. Cancellations made within 4 days (96 hours) are 100% non-refundable. If your jump is canceled by the operator due to unsafe weather or air traffic control, a full refund or free rescheduling will be provided.

Important

Check-in vs Jump Time: The booking time is your Check-in Time. Please allow at least 3.5 hours for the whole experience. Scuba Diving & Alcohol: You must NOT go scuba diving within 24 hours prior to skydiving, nor consume alcohol/drugs within 8 hours prior. Clothing Requirements: Wear comfortable, warm clothing (layers recommended) and sturdy, lace-up flat shoes (no flip-flops, heels, or boots). Prescription glasses can be worn with our specialized over-glasses goggles.

Common Questions

Q: Are there age, weight, or height limits for tandem skydiving? Q: What happens if my skydive is canceled due to bad weather?

A: Minimum age is 6 years (6–12 yrs limited to max 9,000ft). Minimum height is 1.2m. Minimum weight: Queenstown 40kg / Wānaka 30kg. Maximum weight limit is 115kg; guests weighing 95kg+ must undergo an on-site health and harness assessment by the Tandem Master (surcharges may apply). Passengers under 18 require signed parental consent. A: Skydiving is highly weather-dependent. If canceled due to strong winds or thick clouds, you can reschedule for free to another available time or receive a 100% full refund.
