Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 16 July 2026.
1. How to cancel. Cancellation or amendment requests must be sent through the current contact details shown on this website. The request is effective when received and acknowledged by CT trip, not when it is first sent.
2. Product-specific conditions. Cancellation deadlines and refund amounts vary between tours, tickets, accommodation, transport, and other suppliers. The specific conditions disclosed in the product description, quote, or booking confirmation apply to that booking.
3. Customer cancellations. Where a refund is available, CT trip will calculate it after deducting supplier charges and other non-refundable amounts that were disclosed before payment and are permitted by law. Changes to dates, names, traveller numbers, or services may be treated as a cancellation and new booking if the supplier cannot amend the original reservation.
4. No-shows and late arrival. Missing a departure, arriving after check-in closes, failing to bring required documents, or being refused participation for not meeting disclosed safety requirements may result in no refund, subject to the supplier terms and applicable law.
5. Weather and operator cancellations. Outdoor and transport services may be changed, delayed, or cancelled for weather, road, safety, mechanical, or operational reasons. If the supplier cancels, the available remedy may be rescheduling, credit, an alternative service, or refund of the affected service, depending on supplier terms and New Zealand law.
6. Events outside reasonable control. Natural disasters, severe weather, road closures, government action, public health events, transport disruption, and similar events may affect the itinerary. We will take reasonable steps to assist, but additional accommodation, transport, meals, or personal costs remain the traveller's responsibility unless the law or confirmed booking terms require otherwise.
7. Refund timing and method. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method where practical. Processing time depends on the supplier, payment provider, and financial institution. We will provide an update after the refundable amount has been confirmed.
8. Statutory rights. Nothing in this policy removes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under New Zealand consumer law. Contact us promptly if you believe a service was not provided with reasonable care and skill or did not match the confirmed description.
